Do I need an account?
No. Basic conversions work without signing up. An account gives you an API key and monthly credits for automation.
Are my files uploaded?
No. All image processing happens in your browser. We recommend keeping a copy of your original, especially when converting to a lossy format like JPG.
What are the limits?
Files can be up to 20 MB. Images are limited to 24 megapixels and 16,000 pixels per side. The free batch limit is two files. HEIC support depends on the source encoding, and animated images are converted to a single still image.
Will the output look exactly the same?
JPG and WebP compression can change image detail. JPG replaces transparency with white. Metadata is removed during browser re-encoding. PNG preserves transparency but may produce larger files.
